The important part of the
Natural Zeolite is the crystalline hydrated aluminosilicate of alkaline metals and metals of alkaline earths (Ca, K, Na, Mg) called
clinoptilolite.
The zeolite (clinoptilolite) structure is based on a three-dimensional skeleton composed of SiO4- tetrahedrons, which are mutually connected by their oxygen atoms.
The silicon atoms are partly substituted by aluminium atoms. The spatial structure contains regularily arranged pores and channels.
The channel dimensions are sufficiently large so that the molecules with the dimension of some tenths of nanometers may penetrate and adsorb into them.
Liquid, solid and gaseous matters can be adsorbed in these channels.
Simple said: "
Clinoptilolite is a magnet for odours and toxic matters like ammonium(NH4), ammonia (NH3), lead (Pb), mercury(Hg), radionuklides, co2.".

The Attributes of our zeolite or clinoptilolite |
 |
- Huge inner and outer surface of 400-600 m2 per 1 gram of our Natural Zeolite
- selective adsorption of Ammonium (NH4) and heavy metals (Lead, cercury, cadmium, cobalt...) and radionuklides
- reversible hydratation und dehydratation
- high ability of gas sorption
- high thermo-stability
- resistance against aggressive media

Now you know, what matters our zeolite can adsorb or exchange, but below you find
practical applications which result in the above mentioned effects.
